The BlackBerry Curve is set to launch from Alltel on the first of May. The phone is available for online pre-order now at shopalltel.com/curve, and will be available in retail stores at the beginning of next month. With Sprint pushing back its release, and Verizon yet to confirm a release date, Alltel may be the first U.S. carrier to launch the CDMA Curve. The Curve will be RIM's first consumer oriented device with a full QWERTY keyboard, and features include EVDO, GPS, 2-megapixel camera, microSDHC expansion and a 3.5mm headset jack. New and upgrade eligible Alltel customers can expect to pay $229.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate.
