AT&T's Mobile TV coming in May

Starting in May, AT&T will be offering its new Mobile TV service to their customers and will be available on two mobile devices, the LG Vu and Samsung Access. AT&T is the second US carrier, after Verizon, to use Qualcomm's MediaFLO technology for the streaming of high-quality video to handsets, which is currently available in 53 major cities. Since MediaFLO is owned & operated by Qualcomm, both AT&T and Verizon share the same coverage locations. At launch, AT&T will have 8 current channels (CBS, Comedy Central, ESPN, MTV, FOX, NBC, NBC News, Nickelodeon), plus 2 exclusive channels, yet pricing has not been announced.

The Prada-like LG Vu features a full 2.8" touchscreen with 262K colors, 2MP camera, HTML Browser with 3G data capable, and microSD memory card slot. While the Samsung Access is more laid-back, with only a 1.3MP camera, smaller non-touchscreen, and 3G data access.

Verizon's Media TV has been out for a year, but AT&T is starting in may...so that's not at the same time. They both use Qualcomm's MediaFLO towers.
