AT&T is on schedule with MicroCell

advertisment:
АТ&Т’s femtocell project we told you about back in January seems to be alive and well. According to the company’s executive director for radio access network delivery, Gordon Mansfield, the 3G MicroCell should launch nationally by the end of the year. The official has made the statement at the Femtocells World Summit event in London. He also said that currently the 3G MicroCell is being tested by about 200 users, but this will soon be expanded to a marketing trial, which will be open for customers through AT&T stores in a limited number of cities.

Its funny you say that because ATT has one of the youngest 3G markets out there. As compared to sprint evolutionary EVDO

And ATT will charge $100 on top of your regular plan to use this probably, knowing how ATT is.

I'm not impressed with FemtoCells, I bought one for Verizon and have had nothing but problems with it. Why don't carriers just add WiFi calling like TMobile did. I'd honestly consider switching to TMobile if they had coverage in more remote area's.
