Apple iPhone will not be the only strong player in the line of the US’ biggest carrier, as we just got information that AT&T will probably offer the 3G GSM variant of the RAZR2 phone by Motorola – the V9. HSDPA-enabled (3.6mbps), the stylish clamshell will take advantage of the high-speed data transfer of the network, unlike the iPhone which relies on the EDGE, offering theoretically 16 times faster Internet speeds than the Apple phone.
We think that AT&T will get the Motorola RAZR2 V9 as the phone was approved by the FCC and the manual is showing the name of the carrier. The photos show the old Cingular logos over the keyboard, but at the time the phone is launched it will probably come with AT&T only branding.
