AT&T MediaFLO launched

advertisment:
AT&T launched its Mobile TV service which is built around Qualcomm MediaFLO. It is a system that allows streaming of audio and video channels to mobile devices. The service should be available in 58 areas including: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle and Washington, D.C. It should bring wide selection of shows along with the “all time favorite” live sport events. The channel list is quite impressive for being started just a couple of days ago. It includes some of the biggest names in the entertainment business like: ESPN Mobile TV, FOX Mobile, NBC 2Go, NBC News 2Go, MTV Networks' COMEDY CENTRAL, MTV, Nickelodeon, as well as CBS Mobile and CNN Mobile Live. Parents will be happy to know that it supports parental control for content filtering.

As far as prices go there will be multiple packages available. The basic one is priced at $15 a month for unlimited access to Mobile TV and limited one to the CNCRT channel. For the sum of $30 you get the Mobile TV Plus package, which brings unlimited access to Mobile TV and Media Net web browsing. Overall the package prices are reasonable and will hopefully receive even more channels in the future.

With the launch of its streaming mobile TV, AT&T Wireless released two phones that support it, LG Vu and Samsung Access. For more info read the following news.
