HTC S730 WM6 QWERTY unboxing with photo shots

Out of the blue, our guys send me the HTC S730 Quadband Windows Mobile 6 phone to study and mess around with. When I took it out of the box, I saw a TYTN style slide out QWERTY keyboard phone, but in a very small size. (Later I realize the keypad on the box is just a printed trick. ) Anyway, the phone is very small. It is just like a thicker regular mobile phone. And all the sudden, it has a QWERTY sliding out. wow. I will show you the comparison picture side by side with a TYTN, and you will know what I mean then.

Here we go the box package. See? The QWERTY slide out is only a box print trick and I was deceived.

I was thinking of getting this phone or its predecessor the S710. Can anyone tell if it is any good ? Is it easy to use the WM Standard or it's better to go for a professional device.

I've been using the S710 for quite some time now and had no troubles at all. It does take a while to switch the screen from portrait to landscape but it is not that long. The S730 is 3G and has the same processor as the TyTN2. All in all both are nice phones and using them is a breeze. But if you are used to the touchscreen, you may miss it here.

as i said above i haven't had the S730, but the s710 keyboard is of a good size with enough space between the buttons. The only thing that is awkward thous is that the top row of keys is offset to the left by one letter. Here is a pic to show you what i'm talking about.

in normal keyboards the "W" is above the "S" while here it is above the "A"

HTC Touch...

I went to the Sprint store last night to buy one and when I talked the Rep there he discouraged me from buying this phone. He did ask what I was going to use the phone "mostly" for and I told him probably text messaging. Has anyone seen the downloaded "QWERTY" keyboard on this phone and what your thoughts are on this phone would be very appreciated!!! Thanks...
