1 GB miniSD - Work in the 8100?

I see that Sandisk now has a 1 GB miniSD card out. Anyone know of any reason why this wouldn't work in the LG 8100? If so, I read that the 8100 reserves a ton of memory for EDVO, which I could give a rat's a-- about, living in Montana. So, anyone know if there's any way this phone could hog a bunch of the memory on that 1 GB card, or do you imagine it'll mostly be available for pictures and music?

Most "modern" phones I've used get as big card as you want. For example some Nokia phones have "Up to 512MB cards" in their manual but accept 1GB ones. So .... I guess your LG will accept a 1GB miniSD. But maybe as with Nokia phones, it will work kinda slower.
The best way to understand is to borrow your friend's 1GB miniSD and try Then you will be able to safely purchase one.

I have an LG 1 gig sd card with my 8100. Works fine (it should work for any SD card manufacturer as well as any size)

Right now you can save all your flix and pix on it.

Love the speakers on the 8100. they sound fabulous! Wouldn't you agree?

I just spoke to Data Services Tech Support this evening and he said the phone supports up tp 1GB miniSD. This would be adequate space if you save everything to the card like sounds, voice memos, pics, mp3, vids, vcast vids, ringtones.
