CDMA > GSM

I have Cingular which is a GSM network. I was wondering if you can use unlocked CDMA phones with GSM? I really want to get the A970 or A940 and they are both either CDMA or EV-DO, but i want to keep my GSM. Any solutions?

If they can work in GSM frequences that Cingular have, and are really unlocked I guess they will work.

But you won't be able to take advantage of the high-speed data transfer that EV-DO allows in CDMA networks ...

Gsm/cdma

A CDMA phone will not work on the GSM network. REPEAT, will not work on the GSM network. If you want that phone you need to find out if they manufacture a GSM compatible model.

Kind Regards,

Ben

There are phones that feature both GSM and CDMA frequences and can work on both of the network types ... in one device
