Talking Skip the LG vx8000. LG vx8100 release date?

It is going to be released for Verizon. I couldn't find any release info.
Here is some info.:

Release Date:
Q2 2005 <--- ?

Released for Verizon Wireless, the LG VX8100 incorporates all the breakthrough technologies of the VX8000 including high-speed EV-DO, megapixel camera, and video and music on-demand, but goes further with integrated Bluetooth capability for wireless connectivity, and a miniSD slot for external memory. MP3 audio player, dual speakers for stereo sound, and a 3D graphics engine make this a formidable handset in 2005

Also:
LG showed off its VX8100, successor to the VX8000 phone currently being sold by Verizon Wireless that works on the Code Division Multiple Access Evolution-Data Optimized network and has the ability to view on-demand video clips. The VX8100 phone has all the features of the VX8000 (including a 1.3-megapixel camera with a flash and a camcorder that can record up to 15 seconds of video) with the addition of Bluetooth connectivity and a mini-Secure Digital memory card slot for additional storage. Pricing and availability of the phones was not announced.

It looks so much cooler than the vx8000. And it has everything the vx8000 was missing.
I really want it. =)

Talking It's supposed to be released this summer...

I called LG's customer service and they said it was going to be released this summer, but they didn't have a date.
But of course, they never release on schedule. SO I guess I'll have to wait and see.

It took them a while to introduce the VX-8000, so I am not sure if the 8100 will be available that soon

Contacts sync?

Can you sync up your contacts with your PC with the VX8000 or the VX8100?

I do no think (correct me if I am wrong) the phone comes with sync software. What you can do is purchase 3rd party software like:

3rd party vx8000 syncrhonization software

You can try to google some more vx8000 synchronization options

Waiting for the new lg...

I was going to buy a new cell phone soon and looked around online. Once I discovered the 8100, I knew that's the one I wanted! However, I can't find a release date. On one forum, someone basically said Verizon is just stringing people along by saying it will come out this summer and that the real release date is next Jan. (2006). While that totally would suck, it does make sense. Other new technology I've wanted to buy, the maker is always vague about release dates and it always comes out months later than it was rumored to be released. I hope that's not the case this time!
