Can't view jpg's

I just picked up a Audiovox CDM8940 and a Sandisk 128meg mini SD card. I can save my photos to the card and then retrieve them with my PC but they are not recognized by either windows or photoshop. I am fairly certain Verizon added something to the jpg to keep it from being read so you have to use their pixplace service so they can charge you even more. I've done a search over multiple boards and others are having similar problems but I've yet to find a solution to reading the jpgs.

Anyone?

SAME problem here & no one at any of the stores seem to be very helpful in getting me a resolution. Last time I asked, they gave me a phone number to call. I have not called them yet. I'm thinking Cingular phones would have been nicer, they have the cable to attach the phone to your pc directly to download all pix & flix...

I fixed this problem months ago!!!!!

I called corporate relations and was told that there was no way to get the photos unless I used the get-it-now service. I instead chose to use the dump-you-now service.

I switched to Cingular.

I got a Audiovox SMT 5600 Smartphone, which does all sorts of stuff my verizon phone could only dream of, and my wife got a Nokia 6230, which she uses to send me naked photos and video every day.

I got better reception, the ability to download photos and videos, fully functional bluetooth (which rocks), and rollover minutes. Verizon's lack of interest in consumer requests for a fully functional, usable phone made our switch easy ofter having had them for 12 years.

What are the pictures file extentions? Just plain .jpg?
