How do I install applications on E680

I can't find the above information in the E680 user guide. Could somebody kindly help?

the way I do it is just have the phone in mass storage mode when connected via USB and open the file with "file manager" and if it can read it, then it will...

but forget installing apps...i cant even FIND apps for this thing!!

Yes, u are right. I called up the local helpdesk and that was their answer. For java application, it will have an extension ending with *.jar and simply click on it and it will launch.

You are absolutely correct that there isn't any applications *yet*. :awcrap:

Talking apps for e680

I aint sure about this, as i dont have the phone yet, but from what ive read it is based on Qtopia - look around for apps for Qtopia. There are a few out there. These aint java apps, but rather choped down kde apps.


and it if it runs a normal tux (i think its montevista embedded or sumfin) then u should try and install rpm or deb. Make life so much easier
