T-Mobile USA: International Text Messaging. Secret Practices?

I wonder if any of you had received any notification from T-Mobile that international text messaging charge has changed on August 29 from $0.05 to $.15 per message.

I know it did change after I called them. They told me 2 things: 1) one rep said that since very few people used this, they did not care about notifying customers, 2) 2nd one said that they sent an insert to customers.

I checked my last 2 bills--no insert, no info, nothing! It is not posted when you login into your account--you need to search for that change on T-Mobile site! One rep told me that it was my responsibiliity to figure that out.

Secret practices?

Just do not start me on this...

The stupid company charged me $5 last month for International SMS. I received a notice several months ago - back in may. I have called them twice since that inquiring about Int. sms - both times I was told the $.15 charge is undefinately pospoted.

After I received my last bill and got the charge I called and I wal told that the new charge started on August 29th. To make the long story short - after 45 mins on the phone and after spekaing with supervisor they still refused to refund me $5 since I was not notified when exactly this change will take place......

International Text Messages

I have been doing international text messaging since I got my phones, one is on the Flex plan and have a bundle for texting, the other is pay as you go. However, since last week messages from both phones are no longer being received. If you have a textting bundle your costs remain the same except when u overstep the limit. Thats when you pay the $.20 per message. My bundle is $4.99 for 400 messages.

Thumbs up International Text Alternative

You can try http://Send2World.com as a cheaper alternative. It lets you use your domestic messages in your text message package to send international.

With FishText.com it's just over 1.5 cents per international message from your phone as a java application or from your computer.

Why are you repeating the same original post?

Yes, T-Mobile has international texting and most cost info depending on country.
Log into your T-mobile online account and do a search for international calls!

Text charge is usually depending on which country you travel to!
