I just picked up one of these yesterday. It is substantially smaller than the 8000, which was my deciding factor between the two. The insides are not black as the photo indicates but silver and chrome with black buttons. I like the color.

It has a 1.3mp camera, mp3 player and records video, has a nice interface for menus, calendar, alarm, Mini SD memory slot for cards up to 512MB (you put your mp3's and photos on it), speakerphone, etc..... It also does stuff I don't need like the Vcast video, mobile web 2.0, broadband data, you can use it as a fax modem for your computer etc...... I'm sure there's a full review on the major sites by now.

It's got a lot of great features but I got it for it's smaller size, nice menus, great screen, and it's camera and mp3 functionality. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get the photos out of it without paying Verizon. The dang thing is so new I can't find any reviewed data kits for it.
