i830 text messaging help!!!!

i have an i830 phone and i can't send a text message...partly in the fact that i am kinda dumb at this stuff...but i have looked everwhere on the phone and off on the internet and i can't seem to get it...i tried some guides but my phone doesn't seem to have anything...any help would be great....thanks

You need to have a data plan that provides net access. Once that is in place, simply select net on your i830 and follow the prompts.
