Cingular service question

I use wireless service on Cingular, but actually I signed through a local telephone company. All the phones and the calling plans are through Cingular, but I’m billed by the local company. However, I noticed that Cingular offers better deals on phones online, so I would like to know if there’s a way to renew my contract online so that I can make use of these better deals?

once u r locked in u r in
I wanted to upgrade my phone but had to get a new 2 year contract. i am better off paying $100+ for the phone. renewing ur contract just for a "better" deal is bad

You can’t do that. You have to be billed through Cingular in order to be able to renew anything through them. What you can do, though, is Partition from your local phone company to Cingular. It will probably take between 2 and 30 days, depending on where you are in your billing cycle. Then you will be billed through Cingular and can renew what you want.
