Verizon to Verizon texting

I was wondering if it was free to txt if someone is "IN" and is texting another person that is "IN"

IN or not based on : http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/L...path=lnppromo1

Does it matter if they have a texting plan or is it just free to txt all members within the verizon network?

Thanks!

Are you on the IN plan ? If you are, you would be able to send unlimited to IN members

yes I'm in the "in" plan but I heard you have to pay an extra 5$/month to send free texts to verizon users. is this true?

As far as I know, your IN plan is $5 per month. So once you've activated it (you pay it) you can se it and message unlimited ...

as far as i can tell, just check his number on this (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/L...path=lnppromo1) and if it says he's IN then texting/calling shouldn't be a problem.

The In-Messaging should not be confused in In-Calling. If you do not have a messaging feature that includes In-Messaging you will be billed for text messaging to other VZW customers.

verizon to verizon cell phones are always unlimited calling....texting now if you have a texting plan $10 or higher than it is unlim to verizon just for you...if the other person does not have a texting plan then it will charge them .15 per text in or out and .25 per pic....the $5 texting is not unlimited it only comes with 250 texts flat out no unlimited to verizon.

As of the original date of the above posts that mention the $5 text plan, they were correct. When IN-texting first came out there was a $5 feature that allowed unlimited IN texting with 50 additional messages for outside the network. Yes, now it starts at $10 for the 500 additional messages. Also, if you plan on using more than 1500 messages outside the network, don't bother upgrading to the $20 package, just change to a Select plan and get unlimited to anyone.

alright this is how it works

Verizon has several txt msging plans.
first is a $5dollar package which includes 250 txt in and out. the 10 dollar is 500 in and out but unlimited to verizon. there is also a 15 and 20 dollar package. after that they have unlimited text msging in and out to anyone anywhere in the US for individuals its 20 and family plans(up to five lines) its 30. hope that helps
