Memory Card issues

I just bought the HTC Fuze and the memory I had in my old phone wont work. Other people's memory cards work fine in my Fuze and my card wont work in other people's phone so I know it's the card and not the phone. I had a Nokia N75 before and I was told that those phones format the memory cards different from most others. I tried to get the information off the card and then reformat it but my computor wouldnt even read the card. The guys at the local AT&T store couldnt get it to work on their computors either. I was able to bluetooth my pics and music to my computor but not the contacts. Now I know I could just old school it and write down all my contacts and put them into my Fuze manually and probably hav to buy a new card but I want to know if anyone else has had this problem and can tell me how to fix it
