Sprint HTC Pro - Driving Me Crazy!

I am coming from a Mogul...

I love the HTC Pro...but there is something very funky going and I would like to know if anyone else is having the same experience.

I keep my phone is a horizontal case that attaches to my belt. I find that the phone is ALWAYS on. Whenever I reach down to get it - the screen is on. Often it made a couple of phone calls or composed an email (the emails are never actually sent - but the calls are placed). Also - the phone is crazy hot and of course the battery is almost dead.

So - I started locking the phone. I hate locking it. And you just can't use the typical Windows Mobile 6.1 home screen lock - the one without a password. You can only use this without using Touchflow - and I want to use Touchflow.

So I am using the "Lock" application from the settings screen. This has stopped the crazy phone calls and emails...but it has done nothing about the battery issue or the phone (screen) being on or the fact that it is freaking hot.

No exaggeration - I can charge the phone overnight. Get on a commuter train for an hour - never use the phone except for ActiveSync Exchange push email - and when I get off the train the battery is more than 1/2 dead.

I want to throw this phone as far as I can and hope it never comes back...but I really do love it...

they have plenty of programs to help with your issues.

specifically look for S2U2. its like the iphone slide to unlock program. it activates whenever your turn your screen off (just hit the power button once). and it works with TouchFLO.
