verizon vx6700
This phone makes the list of the top three worst products that I've ever owned.
The other two are the 1982 Oldsmobile diesel and the 1971 Triumph spitfire.
I am thinking of going back to the Verizon store and throwing it through their window.
I previouly owned two vx6600's which totally crapped out. The last was replaced under warranty with the vx 6700. It's hard to believe, but it's even worse than the 6600.
For instance, the 6600 had a button on the "phone" screen that called up the speed dial page. On the 6700, you've gotta touch a SMALL menu button, then a tiny "speed dial" item to pop up the speed dial screen. Not too speedy at all.
Once you make a call, the dial pad goes away and a useless screen appears.
If you want to use the dail pad for say a voice mail system or to dial someone in an automated system, you've gotta touch another tiny spot at the bottom to get the dialpad back.
The whole thing is quirkey and very unstable. The hard buttons are hard to use on purpose, but easy to set off by accident. Windows mobile 5 does not intergrate with ACT! contact management software unless you buy a seperate piece of software.
All in all, I gotta guess the people who designed this thing are on crack.
Buy anything else.
