VX-9800 on Sprint?

Does anyone know if I can use Verizons new VX-9800 on Sprints network? They are both CDMA and EVDO.

Bought it for my daughter and was told that IMs were included in the VCAST price...sales rep called her later on the phone and told her that IMs counted as text messages at $0.10 each or she needed to buy another add-on plan.

We are looking at other options because she wants to IM alot and I don't want to pay another $15.00 for the 500 text message plan.

Any other equivalent phones? We started looking at the sidekick with T-mobile but discovered the VX-9800 and love it, but hate the plans available.

Thanks!
