Secret for increased mobile phone sales

I have a niggling feeling that most cell phone companies are screwing us customers.

Remember Nokia 5110 or the 6210 those of us who used these phones know they are stable, can withstand a lot of abuse and have excellent battery life (incidentally the batteries were integrated with the body now they come as stand alone pieces… why???).

Technology has progressed but cell phones are becoming more flimsy ... battery life terrible (yeah we all know that there are more applications and features), display screens loose their luster really fast and software crappy.

I wonder if this is a deliberate strategy by cell companies to ensure speedy product obsolesce, so as to ensure continued hyper profits.

My message to mobile companies start pulling up your socks we customers are watching you. The company that will win our hearts and business is the company that gives us really reliable, hardy and long lasting phones.

PS – My Prediction is that the form factor for smart phones will be like the Samsung i730 (Mobile phone companies please note that all notebook computers have the same form factor just adopt the same standard instead of wasting our money experimenting with sub standard form factors)
