anyone else have this issue with their LG enV Touch?

no i don't have this prob, and i charge it when it is off, so it gets a deeper charge and it lasts longer....you should try that

modern phones have the feature where it stops charging after the battery is full. it does NOT drain battery life, nor kill the battery by charging it over night.

Check with Verizon - LG released a software update in June to correct the enV Touch issues of battery draining and system freezing. Your software should end in 04 that is the latest version.

Try turning ur evdo off that might help conserve the battery seeing as some of you keep it on standby sometimes,

What would dual screens have to do with anything? They're not both on at once so no difference than a single screen phone. Same with "all the multimedia features" - if you're just texting / talking on the phone it should last just as long as any other phone doing the same things.

My old little candy-bar Nokia phone that I got years ago lasted more than a week between charges.

Stretch Your Battery

All batteries come dry, you have to let them charge ALL THE WAY, then let them die ALL THE WAY for a week or two, your battery life will double at least over time. If you don't they get worse and zero out. I don't know why providers don't tell people that. The stock 950mA battery is good for a full 16 hour day with bluetooth enabled. Should get a day or two out of the extended 1500mA.

Also, bottoming out your backlight settings and turning your volume down a tick helps a lot.

Lastly, for the love of sweet baby jesus, if you're not using Bluetooth, SHUT IT OFF!

The tech guy at my Verizon store also said to turn off the phone ALWAYS before charging the battery. It seems to make a difference. My battery life was terrible before I started doing this, but is much better if I turn the phone off before charging. But sometimes, after "Charge complete", and I turn the phone back on, it shows a dead battery. So it does help to turn off the phone before charging, but overall, I think the env touch just has a substandard battery.

env touch

From what i remember when i had my first couple of phones many years back, you have to let your battery die out completely and then charge it up.

Wink Instructions to longer battery life

ok I dont have the Env Touch , but I still have the original Env. If the person at the store if you go to the store or order it online, and if they do not TELL you to let your battery go dead then charge it while it is off, there stupid... You MUST let your phone go dead right when you get it, and when it does go dead, make sure it is off, and then start charging it, and do that many times for longer battery life.

Battery

The first day I had mine a played around a lot and it died pretty fast but I let it go totally dead then I fully charged it overnight and it has been working fine. It has 4 bars and its been off of the charger for 7 hours and I have made calls and sent texts with it as well.

Substandard? look at the accessories, if you buy a new one, its the exact same thing and its compatible with a bunch of phones besides the enV touch so obviously its no worse than the other phones its compatible with

How long does it take you guys to charge your battery fully?
I got my env touch a week ago and it's already randomly reset a couple times and the battery isn't as bad as some of yours but it doesn't last a full day since I use it so much

Battery life

I turn my phone off at night when I charge it. Mainly because I hate the fact that the screen stays illuminated.

After a day of use my phone usually only drops one battery bar; two if I was heavily using the phone. That is making mostly short calls and texting throughout the day.

Last night I didn't charge it and here it is 12:30 and it still has 3 battery bars. When I went to bed the other night, I put it on airplane mode, so as to turn off the radios in the phone. Before I got rid of my laptop I would get such a longer battery life when I turned off the wireless. Same principal with the phone.
