I have been a sprint customer for several years. Face it, Sprint sucks big time! Their customer service is non-existent. I recently had to replace a blackberry 8830 (world edition) that I have been using for two years. I went to the sprint store in des moines. they said they would give me an upgrade. I asked them whether the new phone they were giving me would work overseas. they said yes. they were lying. The only phone that they have that works outside the US is blackberry 8830. It is several generations old in terms of smart phone technology. Sprint sucks! Sprint sucks big time! I am switching to AT&T and getting a Blackberry Storm or an iphone.
There are other phones on Sprint that can go international, the Samsung Ace and ip830, and the recently launched Tour replaces the 8830. So go ahead and switch, that makes you one of millions.
Any person that has every worked in a cell phone store especially if you are in sales dreades seeing a customer come in with any kind of palm. They are the most ridiculous thing to troubleshoot. I hope vzw doesn't get the pre cuz I dont want to have to deal with it.

haha. just because verizon has crap phones doesn't mean you have to hate on phones that verizon has nothing to compare with. let me guess, the iphone is ridiculous to troubleshoot too so you dont want verizon to get that either right? but the storm is great because its easy to troubleshoot?
carriers like sprint dont have that garbage verizon user interface, so you wont need to troubleshoot as you would with verizon phones.
