I'm having a huge problem with my new phone. When charging i get the info on the screen that it is actually charging, but i don't have a charging complete or something no matter how long i keep it plugged. Any ideas what may be the cause of this ?

Problem solved the thread can be closed. It ended up being a software fluke in the phone. I went to Verizon and in 10 min problem solved.

Can any usb charger be used or is it LG only?

haven't tested this myself for extensive use but in theory any micro USB charger should work. Make sure the voltage on the charger is the same as the OEM LG. I know, for example, using an HTC charger on a motorola doesn't work because of that.

The reason why the HTC charger damages the motorolas is because the HTC chargers are 1 amp, versus the Motorola chargers which are typically .550 amps. NOT good to go over, ok if under. (however will over time cause voltage depression on lithium Ion batteries.) From the looks of it though, Most micro chargers will work, but personally would stick to OEM, 3rd party stuff typically will bite you in the end. Either you break them every 3 months, or an amps shortage fries hour AT board on your handset. Either way it screws you!!!
