N95 Mail help

hello i'm using N95 8GB and i really love it. But only one thing keeps bothering me. Whenever i use my mailbox and then go back to the mainscreen it disconnects me from it. Is there a way that i can make it stay connected all the time so i get a notification when mail is received?

Dude i was looking for the exact same thing. I need to check my mail regularly and this is a feature i needed ( not anymore though :) switched to berry). Have you tried with a different e-mail client ? A friend of mine told me this was a good one you can test it :).

Isn't there an option in the integrated mail client that allows it to run in background. Because this is a smartphone after all it is supposed to be multitasking. Try looking around a bit. If there isn't switch the client as veilside suggested.

On my n82 you go to mail -> settings -> automatic retrieval -> enable.
