Anyone know what formats of media the Curve supports? Can I play my music I have downloaded from iTunes? Can it play wmv, avi, etc?

Has anyone used VZ navigator? On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate it?

Should I have any long term concerns about the trackball? If it goes out, there are no options for navigating the screen, right?

These are a few final concerns that I'd like answered before I buy. I'm also considering the Touch, but am hesitant b/c of the lack of a physical keyboard.

AAC No (itunes) MP3 yes. Avi/WMV/ETC with a plugin downloaded on the internet. Yes it can do Youtube.

VZ nav is the best 8.0 just because it is not VZnav 4.0

Trackball is fine if you dont abuse your phones... plus there is a manufacuters warrents and insurance for a reason.

P.S. The touch is great but the lack of a keyboard kills it for me

Thanks! I really want this phone, but just wanna make sure it's one of the better options for me. Bummer about the music, but maybe I can find a way around it (like burning to a cd then ripping it to the Curve). I appreciate your input (especially if you are from Verizon support?). I was wondering about the avi/wmv/etc b/c i have some movies on my hard drive in that format, and would love to watch some of those movies off the micoSD.

Thanks!

Regarding video, use the Media Manager that comes with it and it will convert it to the best format for the phone.

Navigator is great though I wish 4.0 was available for the smart phones. Also lacks the ability to SMS directions to someone else.

Trackball issues are covered under warranty and hopefully you picked up TEC (Total Equipment Coverage) since an extra $6/mth is well worth it for insurance and extended warranty. The Pearl does have a known trackball issue (went through 3 Pearls myself for that reason) however the Curve does not have this same problem. I just got myself into the Curve last month and I love it.
