I am new customer to verizon and have purchased the xv6900 touch, I love the features but i am having horrible signal problems, i have contacted verizon and they told me it could just be this particular phone and could swap it out for another of the same type or a totally new phone. I am wondering what the suggestion for the best smartphone/pda that verizon offers. I really want to stay with a windows mobile device.

The touch is definitely a good choice. Try another one. If you still get the issue you can swap it for the XV6800 (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneDetail&selectedPhoneId=3411)
or the Motorola Q9 (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewPhoneDetail&selectedPhoneId=3765) (no wi-fi)

The 6800 is one of my favorites but to be honest the Q is terrible. The Q9c seems to be performing a bit better from what I have seen, but the Q9m is a terrible device. Anything Motorola usually fits the terrible category.
If I had to recommend one phone, it would be the curve. It has all the best features of the curve with the full keyboard of the 8830 global phone. Its fast, the email is in realtime, and the media and browser is awesome.
If you need a PDA, get a blackberry.

Oh, dang, thanks for reminding.
I'm really in my tippy-toes for release of that as well.
Any updates?

I'm doing a trial of the xv6900 for possible rollout at my work and am seeing the same reception issues, fyi. Have tried everything I could think of to improve it on my own (updating the roaming profile (*228), restarting the phone, flashing the memory) to no avail. Still getting weak signals in places where my POS treo 700w gets full bars.
