Nokia 5310 restarts

I bought the 5310 last week after reading all the posts about the sofware crashing while playing music... ive noticed that if u use the side music buttons to switch tracks it will restart..but if u just use the dpad it wont. Sounds silly but it does work with mine ;). Give it a try and post results to check my theory.

No Dude. It does not work that way.

5310 restarts while playing music (MP3s only) because of a bug in its MP3 codec.

The only solution is to convert your MP3s into AAC/MP4 format. Further AAC is a more recent and much better format.

Tried and tested. Works brilliantly.

Yeah Souvik is right. Hopefully NOKIA is working on the problem, because i don't want to re-encode my mp3 collection in AAC or something like that. So the solution is only temporary, at least for me.

i think there's an upgraded firmware for that that you can download..

i bought mine recently (the latest ones with the black/pink sides) and have no problems with crashing whatsoever/.

I bought mine last month and i've had no troubles what so ever. It looks like the restarting problems are a thing of the past.
