I have been searching for quite awhile for the right smartphone for me. I only want a clamshell design (I really beat the crap out of my phones which has eliminated the Treo 650, etc from my choice list). I really liked the Samsung i500 but wanted a speakerphone,mp3 and memory card capability. Unfortunately, they changed the phone away from Palm with the i600, and made is difficult to move around with the Windows software and only the toggle switch and keypads. I really liked the Kyocera 7135 because it had everything I wanted, including mp3 and a camera, but Verizon no longer supports it.

So two questions. 1) Does anyone know how you navigate around with the new i645? Is there a sylus, touchpad or is it still toggle switch and keypad?
2) If not this phone, anyone have a good clamshell suggestion. I prefer Palm software because I am used to it and live on my Palm Pilot 515. However I would migrate to a Windows product if the hardware were what I wanted and could slip easily into my pocket.

Thanks for any help.

It looks like a good phone, but reviews on cnet by users have been horrible. Any other thoughts?
