Hey everyone, I have been searching my ass off on a way to get ringtones on my phone from the internet...if anyone knows of a sight please let me know...i just got a NEC a232 or NEC 232 ...basically the same thing i guess..Please let me know if you can help! :)

I am sorry to bring it to you but I have seen this posted so many times - people looking for faceplates or ringtones. To make the long story short - I have done a lot of research and I COULD NOT FIND Faceplaces or ringtones. If I am wrong - please someone correct me.

I guess we've all been searching for phone accesories. I contacted Suncom (my wireless provider) and they said that the phone SUCKS! I wish they would have told me that before I bought the phone... Now I'm stuck w/ through my 2 yr agreement!

i got the nec a232 phone a couple of months ago and it has been a pain. i have had so much trouble with it and i couldn't find any ringtones for it until yesterday and i saw that you guys were having trouble and i thought if i could find ringtones i would let everyone i could know about it!!! it is on 3gupload.com they are wonderful they even have accessories for the phones! they are the ONLY site i could find that had ringtones for the phone. you can get ringtones for 1.99 a piece or unlimited downloads for 7.99 every six months. and they have wall paper and everything. i just wanted to let you know that there is hope for this seemingly hopeless phone!!!!!! :)

:o thank you froggy! i finally got a ringtone from 3gupload.com for my NEC a232 (suncom). the only problem is that i cant access the ringtone on my phone. i found it once in the web browser and then when i went to my audio and visual file it still wasnt there and now i cant find it. help anyone?

hmmm. that is a problem. i think that nec a232 are all with suncom if not that is who i am with so i will just use it as an example.....go to the closest suncom, or whatever network you happen to be with, and tell them you bought a ringtone and you can't seem to retrieve it and the people there are supposed to know all the technical stuff with the phones and they should be able to help, but i doubt the number you are suppose to call when you are having trouble with the connection could help. they are slow anyways. but go to suncom and hand your phone to real live person, not that recorded bs over the phone, and they should be able to figure it out that is kinda what they are there for...to start peoples accounts and fix little problems like that on the phone. let me know if that works. and where have you looked on your phone for the ringtone...under menu then music or other or menue settings and other. i have found this phone to be more confusing than it should be. good luck!!! :eek: and i just put the smilie in because i thought it was cute!!!

Unfortunatly ur not alone froggy, I have a nec a232 also, but not by choice, but bcuz, my wireless provider, sold out part of it's company, and i ended up with suncom, and the suncom codes where not compatible with my LG phone, which i loved, so suncom sent me the nec a232 which i had neva heard of , and i hate it, everything every1 else has said about the phone i agree with, I've had to send this sorry a** phone back 3 times, can u believe that. I hate this phone, I have neva had a phone that never works right, no one has heard of it, and i can't buy accessories to it, not even something as simple as a car charger, cuz no1 has heard of the NEC, at least not here where I am, I can't go to any wireless store and buy things for it, I can't wait till this contract is up in 6 mos. Ima throw this wrothless phone in the trash where it belongs, needed to blow off some steam :mad: thanx for listening, and I'm glad that I'm not alone.

Kelly I hate it for ya, cuz trust me it won't get any betta, I didn't get the NEC a232 by choice, i ended up with cuz of a sell out by at&t to suncom, and trust me the phone truely SUX, i've been trying to find a simple car charger for mine, (cuz I travel alot) and i can't even find it, and i can go to a wireless store cuz nobody have ever heard of the NEC a232, but thank the Lord above my contract is up in 6 mos, and then it to the trash with the NEC a232

I just got this phone from Suncom and haven't had anything bad happen yet. But I never heard aof this manufacturer before either. I found a NEC site that has accessories if you need them...http://www.nechdm.com/a232/purchase.asp. They also have downloads. They seem to have everything that you need. Hope this helps someone out there.

I'm having the same problem and of course, when I wrote an email to 3gupload, they didn't have a clue what I was talking about. And I'm afraid to even look at my Suncom bill, I probably spent a fortune online on my phone, trying to get my ringtone set to one that I downloaded.

You can go to 3gforfree.com and get ringtones and screensavers that's were I get most of mine the only thing you can't download is real ringtones. I always go to 3gforfree on my computer first to see the new stuff they have added.

I found ringtones on that NEC site but no face plates. But all of the ringtones suck just like the 5 they put on the phone. Every one of them is stupid. And why are there no games? But beside that I haven't had any problems.

Well i have had the pc of shiznit a232 phone for almost a year and i have sent mine back 4 times the first 2 times they didn't even fix it! Getting to the car charger i found for it is at walmart it is made by sanyo and i don't have the model number but we just took my phone and took stood right at the register to see which one fit it!!! I hope this helps!!! this one was about 10 or so dollars cheaper than the one from the nec site!! it was like 7 or 8 dollars!!

Japan used to mean something to me and Japanese cellphones were like the thing that everyone wanted or at least that is until NEC released its a232. A good Japanese phone used to be good it was like the first five seconds of a piece of juicy fruit. This phone brings shame to the whole country. With its crappy camera and no video, it doesn't even have blue-tooth. For-shame NEC your a disgrace to the Japanese family.

I've seriously never had a more dysfunctional phone before in my life. Seriously it is so ridiculous and shuts off at the most random times and then sometimes when it turns back on all my phone book entries don't have names.. they are just the numbers. All this phone does is frustrate me, and all the ringers i have found are the cheesy, corny little keyboard sounding ones.
