ringtones for sharpgx25

hi everyone please can you help me, i have downloaded a couple of ring tones for my sharp gx25, one of them is the good bad and the ugly, the tone sounds awful very distort can i switch from polyphonic to monophonic maybe that is the problem ?? thanks
