if it's too big, you can make it shorter with Audacity or some other program

You can bluetooth mp3's to your 8600 to play in the music player.. but you can't use them as your ringtones.. for the ringtones they have to be a .qcp file... dont' ask me why or what it is.. all I know is I have an 8600.. and I use a program called sound forge to cut out the clips I want... save the clip then change the ending .mp3 to .qcp save it ... transfer it to your phone and it work ^^ Hope this helps!

Also.. I have a micro sd card... I got it to put ringtones on but you can't do that either the ringtones have to be on the phone memory or they won't work.. if you are using a bluetooth transfer the files go in the Phone_Recorded_Audio folder

It is possible to do this, but you will probably need to find software to do this. When I got my phone I knew this would be something I would be using very often so I purchased a program called Fission. Very simple media editing software to cut down mp3's so you can use them as ringtones. Once I've selected and cut my songs, I plug my micro sd card into a card reader/writer that plugs in my usb. From there, I drag and drop the cut songs into the folder called "other audio". From there you should be able to access them on your phone and set them as ringtones. Hope this helps!

I just got my AX8600 the other day, I decided to buy the Micro SD card so that I could store ringtones on it. The only way that I have found to do it, is to cut them down with an editing software, then putting them on the card and go to My Media and copy them to the phone, it will only let you put like 3 on there but I guess it's better than nothing. If anyone finds out how to make it read off of the card please post.
