I have an LG AX8600 phone for alltel. I want to use it as a modem but I am unable to get it working. I have the cable, but not the right drivers. When I plug the phone in, it is recognized as removable storage, not a modem. It also says on the phone "insert mini SD to use USB option." Do I need special drivers to do this and if so where can I get them.

Also, any help setting up the phone as a modem would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Alltel LG AX8600, i have the USB cable, but i have no idea how to get songs on my phone. My friend says i need to find the driver, i have no idea what hes talking about. Do i need the mini SD card to be able to put songs on my phone. What do i need to do to get songs on my phone? Let me know.

yes you do need a mini sd card to save songs to memory. Now the songs will not work as ringtones, its just for the media player built into the phone. i bought a 2 gb mini sd card for like $15-$20 on ebay. also I have been having trouble getting my phone to be recognized via USB, it keeps saying i dont have drivers installed.
