What do you think of the MobiTV service?
Anyone has experience on it?
I wonder if the Nokia 6630 or 6670 can use this service and display on High Frame-Rate.

I haven't gotten the opportunity to use MobiTV on a high-frame rate device, but on the standard phones e.g. v400, v180, etc. I think its a big waste of money. You pay 9.99 a month, plus data transfer, and I just think it isn't worth it. The sound quality was o.k. but the picture was operating at about 1 frame every 2 or 3 seconds (v180,v400)

The only phone the Cingular supports for the high-frame rate is the Nokia 6620.

I have tried it on one Sprint Sanyo MM-7400 - and it was OK. I think I had even posted a short clip on it. ..

Of course we can all agree it is a great jump in mobile technology, but is it even necessary? Sure a 20 second clip of the weather or news could be beneficial, but at this time and this price it might not be worth it.
I would love to see the clarity on some larger screen smartphones as a comparison. What are the future plans for MobiTV, faster speeds? Longer clips? And I thought being able to post a message on my PDA was ground breaking - what will they think of next?
Is this just a fad or a change in mobile usage? I bet we will see in the coming months if MobiTV is here to stay.
Anyone have any opinions on the future of MobiTv?

I use the 6620 and when I have a good EDGE connection, it works pretty good. Looks like streaming video on any internet source. The problem is usualy network load slowing the stream down and making you wait on the buffer. ;)
