Use at your own risk, it worked for me and my MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.4.8.
The biggest issue with puting files on your LG Chocolate phone is that the phone goes into "powersave" mode while you are browsing it in BitPim 0.9.09. TO resolve this issue,
1. you must go to your LG menu, and press "0".
2. When asked for the security code, press "000000"
3. In the "services" menu, press "0" (This will bring up the "battery test" menu.)
4. select option 1 "backlight setting"
5. select option 1 "Yes"
after selecting yes, just hit end to go out to your main screen, or hit clear until you get to your main screen.
This basically makes your Chocolate phone stay "awake" when idle.
Connect via your preferred method (I use my usb data cable) and make sure that is the port option you have selected in your preferences in BitPim.
Then edit your phone files how you're supposed to be able to, via the interface.
To add music files, the easiest way to do so is to select the "filesystem" in the left side of the main BitPim window. If you can not see it then go to the view menu and make sure "view filesystem" is checked, if it isn't then select it.
click the arrow next to the "/" folder to extend the folder.
drag and drop your mp3 files to the "mymusic" folder.
takes 2-3 minutes to load a song. and voila.
