i too purchased the v551. so far im pretty satisfied. i wanted to ask anyone if they know if there are faceplates avaiable for this phone. i cant stand the blue that is on this phone!!

the man at cingular said you can't change the face plate because of the rubber stuff on it i wanted to change mine too

You can replace the front cover and the battery cover. There are tons of them on Ebay. The battery cover is easy to replace of course. As for the front cover you just have to remove the 4 little rubber covers and undo the torx bit screws.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE FACEPLATE ON THE V551, I HAVE DONE IT SEVERAL TIMES.. JUST GOTTA BE CAREFULL YOU DON'T STRIP THE SCREWS!!

great phone, but scratches wayy to easily

with the silver, when it scratches it looks terrible- i think that the silver is just painted on or something because it comes off easily

I to purchased the v551 phone!There is face plates that you can buy!you can probably go to a local mall and buy one!

but mine i caynt get the front cover off!!!! its hard, but maybe i'll get it.....eventually...
