having problems with the m300 in sending MMS. Anyone who can advise me on the settings. And method of sending the mms to e-mail id. Service provide is Airtel chennai -India. Tried using the settings provided by Airtel to no avail Anyone any ideas?

I am also unable to send SMS/MMS from BenQ m300. I have Airtel Post paid connection...Airtel people are in dark as what to do...

I try sending sms with Aircel....it is working fine there.

I sugest you contact benq service and support at www.benq.com. Go to support page and ask expert then file your complain benq will contact you in india. However my problem is still not solved. I use airtell chennai and have no problem with sms. you need to put in the messages centre number for SMS Ask airtel they will give you the number. Where in india are u?

Yes can't send any mms I have activated the GPRS for MMS but the MMS settings given by airtell do not to work you get in touch with airtel and see what they say. I am not in chennai at the moment so cannot do anything as i am abroad. Benq people in chennai are in the dark as well. Contact Renu johnson at kellys Benq service centre. will give you his ph number later today need to locate it. SMS, Sms chat works I don't know about EMS as the manual does not mention any thing and definitely MMS does not work.Although in specifications EMS is mentioned. I trust you will be able to find something out for me as i return to chennai only in december.

MMS now is working on BenQ M300....
We have to go to Operating Service and in Wap settings....settings are to be changed.

When u come to chennai, call me, I can tell u how to do it.

I had posted the request long time ago and since then Have been able to set up the phone for sending MMS. But I thank you for the details. I am now having a problem since last week. The Symbol "G" on the screen is missing and therefore not able to send any MMS. The airtel people say that the setting have been changed but i dont think so because even when i had no proper settings the symbol was there after activation of the GPRS by airtel. so i think they are full of shit the guys at the airtel customer care. They want me to bring the phone to them to check settings.
I have another question. how do you receive e-mails on your phone. I can receive messages sent from yahoo messenger But e-mails are not received. the e-mails i send to the phone does not return back also to the e-mail acct as undelivered. Any suggestions? Do you receive any sms alert saying an e-mail has arrived, so that we can download the message to the phone?

I too have the same problem with my newly bought BenQ M300. I am unable to send SMS but am able to recieve SMS without any problem. I have an Airtel Prepaid connection. All the SMS settings were checked to be correct including Service Center number. No help from Airtell Customer Care yet. I am in Bangalore, India. I am able to send SMS with the same M300 handset using BSNL Excel SIM. Also, the same Airtel SIM works with Nokia2100 handset. What settings did you alter in M300 to send SMS? I have m300 too and was facing the same prblm but got to settings > restore on ur phone and enter phone code. ur settings are restored and voila! u can send sms now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (linkinparkraman@gmail.com)

Get in touch with your service provider for the settings in your phone. Then you will not have any problem.

Any one able to connect this phone to a pc/laptop?
Following is an e-mail i have sent and also posted on the benq forum & their support page. No reply has been recd from them. It has been over a month since then
"... each time i plug in the phone the computer says "Found new hardware USB UART Controller" I checked with the service centre in chennai. they copied a file for me saying that it was the USB drive for the M300 mobile phone. So I tried it but the computer cannot find it and always says 'new hardware not properly installed' each time I connect the phone via the usb cable and try to run the 'Found new Hardware wizard'. I was given a file folder which contains the folowing files: DrvRemover98_2k.exerm2303mfcapplication, uts2pl.inf setup information, uts2pl.sys system file. I was told that this was the usb driver.
Tried opening up the Phmgr.exe file application and connecting the phone but the software still keeps saying trying to connect to handset and blinking. Any suggestions? The file that i downloaded from the benq web site is the same one.The Found new hard ware does not find the required drivers from this file folder (M300_handset manager) any suggestions
Please confirm if these are the correct ones? Since the file name is drvremover I am just wondering if it is an un-instaler file?
Any suggestions on how to get about using this Benq M300 on PC will be greatly appreciated.
