Because Verizon cripples there phones so that customers will pay for the extra services that Verizon provides. And because Verizon does this people like us rebel and say F@#$ you and start a forum like this one! Share the information!

F&%K Verizon

I been using Motorola Phone Tools and my V710 for two years with bluetooth tethering to my computer which (aside from sync'ing phonebook and calendar) allows me to enter my text messages through on my computer, click and see it sent to my phone via BT then out on Verizon.

My 2 year contract is up and my phone is all banged up and time for a new one and find Verizon has pretty much crippled everything it has out there today. And forcing this thing they call AccessManager you KNOW if just their way to control everything you can do so as to drive up your fees for services.

f-it. i need a new carrier
