So if this has been asked just pls just link me
I am the king of beating dead horses and flame wars

OK so we all got that crappy 64 mb card with our fusics
and hopefully by now we can all get mp3's to our phone, and perhaps some other cool features.

My question is what bitrate or quality should I encode my mp3's to for my phone. I want to allow for the most songs to fit on that dinky card still allowing me and acceptable quality for my listening enjoyment.

I use the FM transmitter at times also if that throws anything into the loop

and yes I am awaiting the arrival of my 1gb card

It probably just comes down to personal preference for how low of a bitrate you can tolerate before you get a noticeable difference. For what it's worth I've been encoding my mp3s for my fusic at 96 kbps and I don't notice a difference from it and anything higher. I'm no audiophile, but anything lower than 60 kbps and I think that there is a huge dropoff (I encode my ringers @60).
