Fusic shuffle question

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew if all of the songs had to be directly listed under the MEDIA folder for the shuffle option to go through all of them, or can the songs be located in subfolders categorized by album or artist under the MEDIA folder?

In my experience shuffle will only use the songs that are in the same folder of the song when you turn shuffle on. So if you turn on shuffle while playing a song in the MEDIA folder, then only songs directly in the MEDIA folder (i.e. not subfolders) will be played. And if you have a song playing in a subfolder, for example,

MEDIA\The Very Best of Kajagoogoo\Too Shy.mp3 is playing, and then you turn shuffle on. It will only shuffle through the songs in MEDIA\The Very Best of Kajagoogoo.

A similiar thing applies if shuffle is already selected when you pick your first song. Only songs from the same directory as the originally selected song will play.

Thanks for the reply. That's exactly what I suspected but wanted to make sure. Too bad it will not shuffle through all folders under the MEDIA directory, it would have been a nice touch. -Steve
