Hey guys. New to this forum and new to the Chocolate. Just got it after 4 years of using the same old phone.
I have a question regarding ringtones. I have a microSD card and I put songs into it in the My Music folder and I am able to play them using the phone. However, I'd like to use some of these songs as ringtones. Is there a way I can do this or do I have to buy ringtones from Verizon?

I read this in other forum, Copy and pasted for you ;)
First off you need the latest version of Bitpim in order to access the chocolate's filesystem.
Even though the phone is through Telus, in the phone detection wizard in Bitpim, you can select Verizon as the carrier and it will work fine.
Once the phone is connected, go into the phone's filesystem and expand the folder titled "brew" after doing that, expand the folder titled "16452", now select the folder title "mds" this is the folder where you want to import all of your own ringtones. Once you have finished adding your ringtones, select the folder titled "dload" and in that folder delete the following :
oma_ringtone.dat & my_music.dat
once those two files have been deleted, power off your phone then power it back on. Now in the phone go to the ringtone menu tada!!
everytime you want to add your own ringtones you must repeat this process, because the phone regenerates the files once it is turned back on.
