Hey, I am looking into ditching the poor excuse for a phone that is the RZR V3... and the KRZR looks interesting, all the research I've done talks about how to add/do stuff - what do you all think about it? You happy? How's the response time to button pushes?
Thank you!!

If your trying to text and find that when you click on new message, and it tells you that memory is full, and there is like nothing in your in or out box. Here is the way I got it to get around the memory full issue.
Click on Message
Then Settings
Then All Messages
select auto erase ---> it settings should be defaulted to Off, click on On.
Once you do this the memory full issue is gone. Now what else does it effect, well you will need to keep checking to make sure it is not causing other ills.
This could also be the reason for the screen going white and going so slow to read and send messages.
This worked for me, it might not for you but worth a try.

Which is completely ridiculous... Mine had the same issue before switching to All Erase. I hope to trade this phone quite soon for a newer phone. Maybe the Envy - my friend seems to enjoy that phone.
The Krzr has a slow response time and IS NOT worth buying! Not unless you're desperate for a phone and do not care about such things as technicalities.

Thanks for the fix. I deleted my Inbox and Outbox w/o a solution. I went to Verizon today and they told me I needed a new battery and needed to use *228 monthly to update my roaming capabilities. When I told them neither solved my problem, they conveniently told me I needed to fully charge my new battery first to see if the problem was fixed.

The slow phone issue can be fixed by updating the phone. Download the Motorola Software Update from Motorola. I used to have over 1100 txt messages inbox + outbox. After updating and wiping my messages I can now only get about 550 before it gives me the 100% full. However, my phone still operates at a reasonable speed.

I'm having the same issue with the full inbox at 25 messages. I do not want to automatically delete the messages as I may want to keep some for future reference.
I have a 2GB Memory card, what do I do to have a bigger inbox?

The auto save feature is what takes care of the problem k1m's and v3m's have an issue with that (also they are the worse phones ever made dont think think about getting them). Software updates cannot be downloaded from a moto site you would have to go to a store to have it flashed, it is free to do, but there is a possiblity of some data loss (pix, txt, etc.) but this rarely happens, if you are concerned about this the rep can back up your info....

forgot to mention, phones other than pda's are designed to hold about 50 txt inbox and out, before it starts running slow. MEMORY CARDS DO NOT SAVE TXT OR CONTACTS.....

Would buying a memory card for my KRZR increase the number of texts I can store? Or is the memory card JUST for pics and music?

Krazor's are awful, I have had nothing but problems! this is my 3rd phone, and it is beginning to have the same issues. I had this same problem with the memory full message. i deleted all messages, all pictures, all sounds and ringtones, EVERYTHING. and it still said it!! I tried the Auto erase, and it worked! thankyou! I did not want to go to the verizon store, they tend to just annoy me because they are useless.

Must be how the store in your area is because I am a technician at a store and the resolution that worked for you is what we would have done here at my store.

I recently got my phone replaced at the verizon store for screen issues. My last motorola krzr could hold 700+ text messages in the inbox before I had to delete, this new one stops at 100 and says the memory is full. I've had the phone for 2 days, downloaded nothing. What the heck?

Can someone help? I know lots of people have asked this question but no one seems to have answered it fully!
My motorola KRZR K1 used to easily hold 300 messages...however now, since updating the software it can only store 10 messages in total. "memory full" keeps coming up even though I have deleted all messages in my inbox and outbox. I have tried this advice:
" Click on Message
Then Settings
Then All Messages
select auto erase ---> it settings should be defaulted to Off, click on On. ""
.....but these options aren't even available on my phone- there is no "settings" option or "auto erase"! (unless im looking in completely the wrong place)
It also wont store any new photos despite me deleting a few to make space.
whats going on??!

Are you sure? I updated the software on my KRZR K1 on the motorola website.

Thanks for the fix. Out of nowhere my krzr was saying "Memory full" or "84% full" when I have only one message in my inbox that I've saved, and none in the outbox. Thanks! Hopefully it won't affect anything else on my phone X:

Thanks, I figured I would search on my own while I waited on the line with verizon in the queue for 10 minutes. Worked like a charm

Mine phone used to be able to store over 1000 messages. Then it told me that the txt inbox was 80% full, so I deleted about 400 messages. Then, it said that the txt inbox was 100% full and I couldn't receive any messages. I hate Krzrs.
But I just did the auto-erase thing and it worked perfectly, and it worked great. Thanks!!
