Phone has an option for custom URL. Whenever I enter a URL and try to access it, I get an Error Code 403 Entry Forbidden message.
does anyone know if this is a phone problem, or a providor problem? Have anyone else experienced this, and is there a solution?

Your web browser is mediocre ... try loading google.com - you won't have any problems ;)

I have a Motorola C261 phone that I purchased in July 2006. When I try to use the Web browser to select a URL, I also get the same "403 Entry Forbidden" error code. I am using "Tracfone" as my service provider. I believe this is a service provider error and not a phone error. I can go to Tracfone's home page and access that using the phones browser (Open Wave Web Browser) but nothing else. I heard a rumor that Tracfone will have its web browser upgraded and running sometime in the summer of 2007!? Why come out with a phone that has web browsing capabilities that you can't even use? I hope the rumor is true.

Heard the same rumor. I don't think Tracfone released the phone solely for the browser - this just happens to be one of the features, and there is limited web browsing through their news service, which is available by subscription. It will be nice to get the web browing and e-mail features, the sooner, the better, though.

You don't seem to understand it's not a problem with Trafone's browser, they want you to pay for their information services, if you can surf the web on their phones then you don't need to subsribe for their news, sports and weather services. You will never be able to surf the web on a Tracfone.

Do you know this as a fact, or is it just your theory?

Why do you think the browser will only go to one site, Trakfone's site? There's nothing wrong with the browser, if there were something wrong with it it wouldn't be able to go to any sites at all. It magically goes to Trakfone's site and only Trakfones site, because that's how it's set.
