Code for newer towers

I recently purchased a new phone thats unlocked, an LG A7110. Well my new phone has a lot less service then my old one and I was told that there is a code to enter on your phone that will enable it to use more of the newer towers. Does anyone know what this code is? Any responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

who told you about a code?... if its unlocked the only code you need was the subsidy passcode (unlock code)...if you can use the phone its already unlocked
