boost phone i855 unlocked/ sim

i dont have boost mobile. but im interested in buying one. but their phones are kinda expensive. on ebay i saw the same phones at a much lower price but they dont have sim cards. they are unlocked. my question is if i buy an unlocked phone and buy a new sim card from ebay, can it be activated? anybody pls help. thanx in advance:)

You can get the phone and sim on ebay for cheap w/ $10. I got mine from an ebay seller named mobileone2006.
