A990 zoom ?

Just bought my A990 and i'm pretty confused that i cannot zoom when useing the camera?!! Am i right?

A friend a mine got this phone, and he CAN zoom when taking pics...check the resolution set, if it's the highest then it's no surprise u cannot zoom.

i have a990 too.. and when i take it .. it doesn't zoon .. but
after i took it... then i can go to option menu and find zoom and i can zoom...

i guess if there's way to zoom when i take picture.. i wanna know too.. .
