I want to just buy the phone off www.t-mobile.com but the site just does not let me if I don't add a plan.. is there a way get round this or I can only buy phones from the stores??

Well I think you cannot.... I think you'll have to go to a store after all.

go to www.my.t-mobile.com then click on my phone and look to the left and you'll see upgrade my phone. click it.

I wanted to do the same, and called T-mobile. They told me that without a month to month plan, I couldn't buy the phone from them at ANY price. Even if you have a pay as you go plan. I didn't understand the post above-the TMO site shows the suggested retail price and the price with contract.
