Is the same or is it better to shop and make deals online.. I think the stores do not match the online promotions.. what's your experience?

Id rather prefer online, as they have better deals. Just don't order from Ebay or Amazon. Order from www.mobiledia.com

Honestly it depends on what stores you go to. There is a difference between Verizon Corp and Independent Stores.
If you see a Verizon Corp or a Premium Retailer then they match or BEAT online pricing.
If you seen an Independent with a dealer name then they will try their best to match corp pricing!

I work for a premium retailer and usually our phones are already beating all advertised prices out there. If not then we will match it with no complaints. But do make sure to not be "one" of those types of customers who have no clues about the fine print and want to remain oblivious to them. Remember that there is usually some type of rebate invovled and most places will advertise the price with the rebate already applied to it.

well, it all depends on which stores you go to..i've been to some around my city and some of them charge you more than others..why? cause they are not from the corporate..but if you go to a corporate store, like the ones in the mall, you can get almost the same deal as you would online..but advantage to going to a store is that you can check out the phone before purchasing it..hope that helps..good luck

I agree! I manage a Premium Retailer and we match or BEAT online pricing every time. In addition, if you purchase online, it is more of a hassle for people that aren't so tech savy. They usually end up in the store for a while anyway getting us to program phones, do ESN changes, and transfer numbers. Why go through all of that when you could just come to the store first, get the same OR BETTER pricing, and have someone that actually deals with these things every day give you a great customer service experience?!?

I too manage a Premium Retailer for Verizon and go through this all the time. Customers know before they come in that there will always be some type of contract and/or rebate involved. However, they choose to remain oblivious to this for some reason.

ok here is the low down...online presents online discount, it is automatic, corp stores are mail in rebates just like cust care--but now and then we can bend a little. Indirect stores are hit or miss, they can not upgrade the additional 2 months early like the corp store and cust care. Online also misses the ability to give the additional 2 months. Now Indirect stores also maintain the contract for the first 6 months(usually) and can charge their own ETF along with the VZW ETF as well. So you have your give and take for each--I cant let you touch a phone in cust care and the store can. The Indirect guys cant do the additional 2 months early...all pros and cons totally. I send cust to the store all the time, and for the best deal I say online or through indirect. As long as we keep the cust at the big VZW I dont really care where they sign the contract. Now I also get plenty of cust that say I told the rep not to put that vcast on my phone, I didnt want the free service and now they charged me for it...hit or miss, like I said. As a cust you just have to ask the right questions and verify the answer if you need to...plenty of sources to check.

I actually prefer the local Verizon store over online ordering. I've developed a friendship with the people there (since I purchase phones all the time...horrible addiction!).
As for accessories, go with eBay or Amazon. The Accessories at Verizon are so expensive as compared to alternate stores.

Your gonna see 3 different prices as far as actual corprate verizon stores go. you have stores that are inside circuit city's and BJ wholesale clubs, then you have actual stores that are seprate and then you have kiosks at malls. Pricing is going to be different on some phones at each of the locations. each location also has the right not to price match. they actually discourage us to price match phones. Shop around and go to the appropriate location that has the phone at the price you want. DO NOT GO ONLINE TO VERIZONWIRELESS.COM AND BRING IN A PRINT OUT TRYING TO GET A PRICE MATCH. most of the time your gonna get turned down, unless you wanna be a douche bag customer that wants to bitch and complain about it till you get what you want.
