SIM card Question

My girlfriend is switching to t-mobile in a week or so and she is getting a phone without a SIM card. She wants to activate T-Mobile to Go. Can we buy any SIM card from eBay or we have to buy a particular one? And afterwards shall we go to a T-mobile store to activate it or shall we call them?

You can buy any t-mo SIM card as they are all the same. If you want to activate T-Mobile to Go, you’ll also have to buy a starter kit. It gives all the instructions as well as an activation code needed to start
