I'm sure Verizon is better without such a bigoted and hateful customer such as yourself.

Actually Verizon does still have a $5 text package for 250 text, but it is not unlimited in messaging anymore. It is not offered on the brochure, it is offered in the registration online at the point of sale, comcluding VERIZON IS NOT GAY

if you had the $5 unlim in text/50 dom msg deal and you upgraded your phone and the feature "fell off" you can still get it. Just call cs or and tell them you didn't know the feat would fall. They have to give it back to you. Its not a hard process don't fall victim to the man. call see what happens called open window request.

Actually as stated above we do still offer the 250 messages for the 5$. It is also still stated in some of our brochures. Usually most sales reps use the 5$ plan as a last resort.
If you talked to someone and they didn't offer you the 5$ plan its probably because they don't get commission unless they sell a 10$ plan or more, or maybe they were new and they just didn't know about it. Either way, Verizon is NOT GAY!!! lol :D

yes it is true
i started with the 3 dollar plan for 100txt only
then went to 5 dollar plan for 250 anybody
and only a month ago or so i wanted to do the unlimited in and 50 non for 5 dollars and one salesman said we couldnt do it and then he transferred me to another and he said they could (they actually werent supposed to keep doing it) but since he said it; they had to do it
i actually am gonna switch back to the 250 anybody plan though so who cares (new gf is tmobile :( )
I'm a Verizon Wireless Indirect Agent Sales Rep and I actually just had a conversation about this with customer service today. I used to have the $5 plan which was Unlimited In with 50 messages to outside carriers. One of the problems they said Verizon had with this plan is that customers would constantly go over the message usage because if you were an avid enough texter to want a plan on your phone it was nearly impossible to keep your outside messaging down below 50. Unless you were one of those RARE cases who only would text verizon customers. I know, I constantly went over it myself. She said that overall they realized it was a bad deal altogether...I mean, which plan gives you more for your money, 50 for $5, or 500 for $10? Plus it took barely any overages to put you up at the $10 mark. Generally speaking, the majority of people that didn't breach this plan still were under 250 messages, which is what the NEW plan is. Overall I think it was a good move and satisfies at least the majority of low usage customers....and no, I don't believe that just because they changed their texting package, that they are homosexual. :-P
I agree what indirect you work for

I have the $5 IN unlimited with 50 extra. And I got it after they took the offer off the website. All I did was call CS and say I wanted it, and they gave it to me.

I have unlimited text messages for 5 bucks a month. I love it. I send and receive over 4000 messages a month, I thought there was a catch when the Rep. gave me the info; but, I've it for about a year and have never been charged more than 5 bucks a month. . .

I also had the Verizon $5 plan with unlimited IN and 50 non limited. However once I renewed my 2 year the sales person said I could NOT add the $5 above back in because it NO longer existed. I called 611 twice and each time they said the text plan no longer was available. I called 611 customer service a 3rd time and this sales lady said it WAS available and put the plan back on the cell line that it was initially deleted!! Go figure.....
